Benjamin Huntington, ASID was born and educated in England. After completing a Bachelor's Degree, with honors, at Kingston University he went on to apprentice with an exclusive London based architect's practice. During his ten years there he developed a complete understanding of the highest level of fine traditional cabinetry design and detailing in a variety of architectural periods. The projects that he has worked on ranged from town houses to large country estates for a variety of clients. In 1987, after becoming the youngest associate of the firm, he spearheaded the opening of the New York office and for several years worked for an exclusive set of international clients.
In 1991 he opened his own design studio specializing in complete interior refurbishments of the highest caliber. Since then Benjamin has completed a variety of projects ranging from a 15,000 square foot ski chalet to a 12' wide brown stone. In 1997 Benjamin started working with Shari Markbreiter, allied ASID and recently formalized this partnership by founding MH Studio LLC. During his time in New York he has also become a New York state licensed interior designer, obtained the NCIDQ certification, trained for over 18 years in the art of feng shui and passed all the exams required to become a fully certified feng shui practitioner with FSII. Also, more recently, over the past eight years Benjamin has been active in a variety of roles serving the American Society of Interior Designers, the largest interior design organization in the world, culminating in his being elected ASID NY Metro president for 2008.
